Jenner & Block has been named U.S. News-Best Lawyers 2011-2012 “Law Firm of the Year” in the Appellate Practice area. The designation is based on the Firm’s overall performance and significant showing in the 2011-2012 “Best Law Firms” research. This is the first time that U.S. News-Best Lawyers has selected firms for “Law Firm of the Year” honors, choosing one firm for each of 75 national practice areas.
In addition, numerous Jenner & Block practice areas were ranked as “Tier 1” by U.S. News-Best Lawyers in its “Best Law Firms” rankings, the second annual publication of this report. The survey ranked 9,633 law firms in 75 national practice areas and as many as 119 major practice areas in 177 metropolitan locations. Results were based on client evaluations and peer review from leading attorneys in their field, combined with more than 3.9 million evaluations of more than 41,000 individual leading lawyers collected from the most recent Best Lawyers annual survey of leading lawyers.
The Appellate and Supreme Court practice group is chaired by Partner Paul M. Smith and includes Partners Chris C. Gair, Elaine J. Goldenberg, Marc A. Goldman, Lindsay C. Harrison, Matthew S.
