On the evening of June 4, 2007, New York Jenner & Block Partner Gianni P. Servodidio received a Burton Award for Achievement in Legal Writing for his Oct. 16, 2006, New York Law Journal article, "Keyword Advertising: The Elusive Search for ‘Use in Commerce’ on the Internet.” Mr. Servodidio accepted the word at a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress.
Mr. Servodidio is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department and Intellectual Property, Media and First Amendment, Trade Secrets and Unfair Competition, Health Care Law, and Entertainment and New Media Practices.
His primary litigation experience is in trademark, patent, trade secret, unfair competition, cybersquatting, false advertising and copyright cases in federal and state courts throughout the country and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
The Burton Awards are a nonprofit educational effort run by the Burton Foundation in association with the Library of Congress. The program is principally devoted to excellence in legal writing and research. Each year since 1999, a total of 30 writing awards have been presented to partners in America’s 1,000 largest law firms.
