Jenner & Block hosted more than 300 attorneys, alumni and colleagues at a reception honoring Partner Joseph G. Bisceglia’s recent induction as president of the Illinois State Bar Association.

Jenner & Block Managing Partner Gregory S. Gallopoulos welcomed the guests and presented Mr. Bisceglia with a special gift in appreciation of his service to the profession. "Joe is a beloved part of the Jenner & Block family, and we are all very proud of him," said Mr. Gallopoulos.

Mr. Bisceglia, who has practiced law at Jenner & Block for more than 30 years, thanked everyone in attendance and praised the support he receives from his family, friends and colleagues.  He also noted the Firm’s encouragement and its "unbelievable commitment" to pro bono and bar association matters.

Firm Chairman Jerold S. Solovy also addressed the attendees and noted that Mr. Bisceglia is the third Jenner & Block attorney to be elected as president of the ISBA. The first was Judge Floyd Thompson in 1933, and the second was name Partner Albert E. Jenner, Jr in 1949. "Joe brings us great honor," said Mr. Solovy.

Mr. Bisceglia was installed as the 131st ISBA President at the organization's Annual Meeting this June. Among other things, he plans to focus on the public image of lawyers, educating the public about the lawyer's role in our justice system and creating more diversity in the legal profession during his one-year term.
