Jenner & Block client Honeywell International recently executed a definitive agreement to acquire Metrologic Instruments, Inc., a leading manufacturer of data capture and collection hardware and software, for approximately $720 million.

Metrologic will be integrated with Honeywell Security, part of Honeywell’s Automation and Control Solutions (ACS) business.  The transaction will build on Honeywell’s recent acquisition of Hand Held Products, Inc., a privately held automatic identification and data collection company, which the Firm handled for Honeywell in late 2007.

Honeywell is a diversified technology and manufacturing leader of aerospace, control technology and other specialty offerings, in corporate transactions.
