Partner Gail H. Morse Appointed Member of Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Equality

On November 9, 2020, the Illinois Supreme Court appointed Jenner & Block Partner Gail H. Morse to the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Equality for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2021.  

Formed in 2015, the Committee on Equality advances the court’s commitment to a judicial system free of bias, in which every employee of the court is fairly treated, safe, and respected. Promoting equality and fairness in the administration of justice, the Committee on Equality facilitates a high level of trust and public confidence in the courts and its judicial officers.

Ms. Morse leads the Jenner & Block’s national state and local Tax Practice. She is a member of the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Trans Working Group. Ms. Morse also serves as a member and co-chair emeritus of the firm’s LGBTQ Forum affinity group – an environment for lawyers and professional staff to share experiences and resources, provide role models and informal mentoring, and give feedback to the firm on diversity-related matters.
