On October 9, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) announced the election of an incoming Chair and two Vice Chairs of its Institute of World Business Law. Partner Mélida Hodgson has been elected Vice Chair, effective January 1, 2021. Established in 1979, the ICC Institute of World Business Law is a think-tank providing research, training, and information to the legal profession concerned with the development of international business law. Its goal is to foster wider knowledge of the law and practices of international business through training and research.

Ms. Hodgson is head of the firm’s New York International Arbitration Practice. She focuses her practice on investor-state and commercial arbitrations, counselling governments, state-owned entities, and corporate entities with respect to international investment protection provisions, business disputes and World Trade Organization dispute resolution, and international trade policy issues. She also sits as an arbitrator.
