Bisceglia Elected to ABA House of Delegates

On December 13, 2008, Jenner & Block Partner Joseph G. Bisceglia was elected by the Illinois State Bar Association Assembly as a delegate to the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates.

The control and administration of the ABA is vested in the House of Delegates, the policy-making body of the association.  Established in 1936, the House of Delegates meets twice each year to vote on key issues involving ABA policy.

Mr. Bisceglia will serve a two-year term as an elected delegate to the ABA House of Delegates from the Illinois State Bar Association.  As part of his prior roles as Illinois State Bar Association President, First Vice-President and Second-Vice President, Mr. Bisceglia has been a member of the ABA House of Delegates since 2005.

Mr. Bisceglia, Chair of Jenner & Block’s Construction Law Practice, is extensively involved in bar association activities.  In addition to being a longtime leader in the Illinois State Bar Association — for which he served as president from 2007-2008 — Mr. Bisceglia is a member of the ABA’s Forum on the Construction Industry, a member of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, a past president of the Justinian Society of Lawyers, and a longtime member of the Chicago Bar Association.
