University of Michigan Law School Publication Features Six Alumni Now Working in Bankruptcy Law

The University of Michigan Law School magazine, The Quadrangle, featured six alumni who now practice bankruptcy law at Jenner & Block.  The Michigan alumni cite the school’s emphasis on collaboration and experiential learning opportunities as invaluable training they have used in prominent cases, including our representation of the Official Retiree Committee in the landmark restructuring case of Puerto Rico, Wellness International Network Limited’s appeal before the US Supreme Court and the financial settlement for former students of the now-defunct ITT Technical Institute.  Michigan alumna and Partner Melissa M. Root ‘03, co-chair of the Hiring Committee, says the firm continues to hire Michigan graduates for their critical reasoning skills and ability to “get the job done.”

Partners Randy Mehrberg, '80; Robert D. Gordon, '89; Angela M. Allen, '07; and Landon S. Raiford, '08; and Associate John D. VanDeventer, '13, are also quoted in the article.
