Partners Louis Fogel and Andrew Vail Elected Fellows of the American Bar Foundation

Jenner & Block Partners Louis E. Fogel and Andrew W. Vail have been elected Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.  The Fellows comprise lawyers, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities.  Membership is limited to one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.  Fellows are recommended by their peers and elected by the board of the American Bar Foundation.

Mr. Fogel co-chairs the Life Sciences division of the Patent Litigation and Counseling Practice at Jenner & Block.  He is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee and has an active and diverse pro bono practice, including representing parents and families who are involved in the child welfare system.

Mr. Vail is a first-chair litigator who has significant experience in both federal and state courts, representing individuals, privately held, public and Fortune 500 companies as both plaintiff and defense counsel.  He co-chairs the firm's Pro Bono Committee and has been recognized for his commitment to the Chicago community, pro bono legal representation and the organized bar.
