Jenner & Block Partners Terri L. Mascherin and Andrew W. Vail will serve as founding members of the Chicago Bar Association’s Business Divorce and Complex Ownership Disputes Committee. The group will address transactional and litigation issues that arise when relationships among owners of business organizations break down to the point where a separation and/or lawsuit are the only practical solutions. With a cross-disciplinary focus, the committee will offer content, speakers and discussions of interest to both business and trial lawyers. A kick-off celebration was held in April, with a launch in May.

Ms. Mascherin was president of the CBA from 2010 to 2011.  She is a litigator whom businesses turn to for help with disputes over corporate transactions, partnerships, joint ventures, licenses and contracts.

Mr. Vail is a member of the CBA’s board of managers. He is a first-chair litigator who has significant experience in both federal and state courts, representing individuals, privately held, public and Fortune 500 companies as both plaintiff and defense counsel.
