Jenner & Block Partner Andrew H. Bart is the subject of a question-and-answer article in Of Counsel, where he highlights the early stages of his career; his successes and challenges in a profoundly competitive marketplace and the collaborative efforts within his practice.

He also discusses the meaning of his recent high-profile appellate court win in the Capitol Records v. MP3tunes case.  “Litigating and trying to protect the value in the creativity of the artists and the assets of the studios and labels is something that means a great deal to me…We were able to get a very sizable judgment and create good law.”

As chair of Jenner & Block’s Content, Media and Entertainment Practice, Mr. Bart elaborates on his love for music and the importance of mentoring. “[It] has brought me a sense of communal responsibility of a desire to mentor and create something that’s meaningful that will postdate my practice.”
