On April 5, 2017, Jenner & Block was recognized for its commitment to diversity and inclusion at PepsiCo’s 2017 Outside Counsel Diversity Recognition Day. The annual program is part of PepsiCo’s outside counsel diversity initiatives where law firms dedicated to diversifying the legal profession are honored based on results from PepsiCo’s diversity survey. Adapted from the ABA Model Diversity Survey, the survey collects diversity metrics from law firms that billed PepsiCo in the prior calendar year. A weighted formula is used to generate a diversity index score and examine the firms’ diversity and inclusion initiatives. The 15 firms that were recognized by PepsiCo earned diversity index scores above the median in comparison to their peers and demonstrated an exceptional commitment to diversity and inclusion through qualitative efforts.

“We are pleased to be recognized by PepsiCo for our commitment to equality and inclusiveness,” said Partner Susan J. Kohlmann. “Fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment is a core value that the entire firm is dedicated to. We are honored to work with clients such as PepsiCo that share our deep-seated commitment to diversity and inclusion.”

“Among the firms surveyed, these firms had some of the best metrics and practices we reviewed,” said Tony West, Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of PepsiCo. “We are honored to recognize them; and as their client, we will continue to support their diversity and inclusion efforts.”

Partners Nancy C. Jacobson, Susan J. Kohlmann, Kelly M. Morrison, Peter B. Pope and Associate Keisha N. Stanford represented the firm at PepsiCo’s Outside Counsel Diversity Recognition Day.
