Urban Land Institute Recognizes Firm's Client for Public/Private Partnership Real Estate Development

The international Urban Land Institute recently recognized Jenner & Block client East Campus Realty LLC’s Midtown Crossing development in Omaha, Nebraska, as one of ten projects around the world that “embody the synergy of public/private partnerships.”  The $325 million mixed-use complex is featured in the September/October issue of ULI’s magazine Urbanland.

East Campus Realty is owned by another Firm client, Mutual of Omaha, which was a catalyst in launching the effort and collaborated with the city to transform 15 vacant and underutilized acres adjacent to its midtown Omaha headquarters into the 1 million square foot development.  The Firm represented East Campus Realty in the creation of the project, which opened in May and is comprised of retail space, 296 condominiums, 196 apartments and structured parking, as well as new streets and infrastructure and a rehabilitated public park that hosts outdoor markets and concerts.

The Firm’s team that worked on this matter included Partners Donald S. Horvath (construction and development) and Michelle M. McAtee (financing) and Associate Vito M. Pacione (leasing and management).
