Jenner & Block Partner Reena R. Bajowala has been named a “Most Powerful & Influential Woman” of 2014, by the Illinois Diversity Council.  She was formally recognized with the award at a breakfast that took place during the Council’s 5th Annual Women’s Conference in Chicago on April 25, 2014.  The award recognizes high-ranking female executives in various industries in Illinois who demonstrate leadership excellence and who have not only achieved personal success but who “have made it possible for others to more easily follow in their footsteps.” 

The Illinois Diversity Council is part of the National Diversity Council, the first nonprofit organization in the country to bring together the private, public and nonprofit sectors in a dialogue about the many dimensions and benefits of a multicultural environment.  The annual Illinois Women’s Conference is a statewide event focusing on professional development, community, networking, entrepreneurship and women’s health.

Reena is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation, Class Action, Technology Litigation and ERISA Litigation Practices.  She has been recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in General Commercial Litigation.  Reena is active in several professional organizations that foster diversity in the legal profession, and in 2013, she was selected to participate in a prestigious program as a Fellow of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
