Jenner & Block Of Counsel Richard J. Gray has been named president of the Board of Directors of the TechLaw Group.  He is serving a two-year term.  TechLaw is one of the oldest international networks of law firms with strong technology-related practices.

Jenner & Block has been a member of TechLaw since 1999; member firms share best practices, exchange new ideas and provide clients with access to lawyers at general service firms all over the world that have a broad range of knowledge and experience on technology issues.  The network now comprises 21 law firms with more than 8,100 lawyers and offices in more than 35 countries.  Over the years, our affiliation has resulted in a number of successful inbound and outbound referrals from and to the other member firms.

Rich has been a director of the organization for more than a decade and has served as its vice-president and, for the past year, as president-elect.  In October, he was responsible for organizing a successful three-day TechLaw Conference titled “Protecting Your Business From Within.”  The event was hosted by Jenner & Block in our Chicago office and included a CLE program at which several of our partners presented.  Participants and attendees came from around the globe; the outgoing TechLaw president called the conference “a new high watermark for TechLaw events.”
