Jenner & Block Chairman Anton R. Valukas has been named one of the “100 Most Influential Lawyers in America” by The National Law Journal

According to the NLJ, the lawyers chosen for this list “shape the legal world through their work in the courtroom, at the negotiating table, in the classroom or in government.  They have taken on major legal battles and orchestrated the biggest corporate deals.  They've tackled unpopular causes and helped run giant corporations.”

Tony was selected for his role as the Examiner in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.  The publication’s profile noted, “As court-appointed examiner for the failed investment bank, Valukas produced a 2,200-page report describing in harrowing detail the lengths to which it went to hide its rapidly worsening books in its final months.  He also documented the failures of securities regulators and Lehman's auditors.”

The NLJ article also noted Tony’s track record of public service and his commitment to pro bono.
