Jenner & Block assisted in connection with the acquisition of Tekelec Global by Oracle Corporation. Tekelec, a leading provider of network signaling, policy control, and subscriber data management solutions for communications networks, was taken private in November 2011 in a transaction valued at approximately $780 million by a consortium led by Siris Capital Group. The firm represented a group of Tekelec executives, including its CEO, CFO and general counsel, in connection with the acquisition. In a press release on the matter, Tekelec’s president and CEO, Ron de Lange, said, “In an increasingly mobile and social world, customer experience is about optimizing network performance and personalizing services based on what engages, moves, and inspires people. Together with Oracle, we expect to accelerate the pace of service innovation by helping service providers transform the way they manage and monetize the explosive growth in signaling and data traffic on their networks.” The team was led by Partners Donald E. Batterson and S. Tony Ling. The multidisciplinary team that assisted included Partners Michael T. Wolf, Geoffrey M. Davis, David M. Kroeger and Matthew J. Renaud; Of Counsel Emma J. Sullivan; and Associates Alexandra E. Dowling, Trevor Holmes and Stephen M. Woodcock.
