Jenner & Block Partners Joseph G. Bisceglia and John R. Storino and Associates Kaija K. Hupila, Shorge K. Sato and Anwar T. Shatat participated at a Lorman Seminar titled, "What to Do When Construction Projects Go Bad in Illinois" on March 11 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The seminar, moderated by Mr. Bisceglia, educated attendees on how to effectively handle claims and disputes in relation to construction projects, and how to prepare for unexpected circumstances. Topics presented included reducing risk by addressing critical risk factors in contracts, using alternative dispute resolution to one's advantage, protecting against liability and damages by saving critical documents, insurance types and requirements, and tackling delays to get a project back on track.

Mr. Bisceglia is Chair of the Firm's Construction Law Practice and a member of the Firm's Litigation Department.  Messrs. Storino, Sato and Shatat are members of the Firm’s Litigation Department and Construction Law Practice, and Ms. Hupila is a member of the Litigation Department.
