Jenner & Block will host the Annual Meeting of Credit Union General Counsel at the Firm’s Chicago office May 2-3. The two-day meeting will include sessions on various legal topics pertinent to credit union general counsel. Partner Joseph G. Bisceglia will host the meeting. Partner Howard S. Suskin will speak on the impact and implications of Dodd-Frank. Partner John R. Storino will lead a session on cyber liability. Partner Ronald R. Peterson will cover the topic of bankruptcy. Partner Carla J. Rozycki and Of Counsel Emma J. Sullivan will discuss social media issues, misclassification of workers and leaves of absence under the Family Medical Leave Act and the American with Disabilities Act.
Mr. Bisceglia is a litigation partner who has represented Alliant Credit Union in various litigation matters.
Mr. Suskin has substantial first-chair experience in civil and criminal securities matters. He counsels individuals and businesses in class actions alleging securities fraud and misrepresentation claims, derivative actions claiming breach of fiduciary duty, contests for corporate control, insider trading investigations and broker-dealer disputes.
Mr. Storino focuses his practice on commercial litigation, professional responsibility and construction matters. He has experience in issues ranging from breach of contract, civil rights litigation and election law to insurance coverage, pension fund litigation, product liability and employment disputes.
Mr. Peterson concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, insolvency and bankruptcy law. A fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, he focuses primarily on representing debtors, trustees, creditors, committees, landlords and secured lenders in Chapter 11 cases.
Ms. Rozycki serves as Chair of the Firm’s Labor and Employment Practice, and is also a member of the Firm’s Litigation and ERISA Litigation Practices. She also serves the Firm as a member of the Management Committee, Firm Counsel (Employment), and Co-Chair of the Positive Work Environment Committee. She counsels public and private employers on a wide range of employment matters, including employment discrimination, harassment, wage/hour, ERISA, employment contracts and severance agreements, restrictive covenants and state law issues.
Ms. Sullivan is a member of Jenner & Block’s Litigation Department and Labor and Employment Practice.
