Associate Reena R. Bajowala presented two public interest fellowship awards at the University of Michigan Asian Pacific American Law Student Association's (APALSA) Origins Fellowship Banquet held on March 24, 2012 at the University of Michigan Union Ballroom in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Jenner & Block was a Gold Sponsor of the event.

Ms. Bajowala, who graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, founded APALSA’s annual Origins Cultural Show and Scholarship Program in 2005 to provide financial support during summer internships for first-year law students intending to pursue public interest work to benefit the Asian American community and the community at large.  Since Ms. Bajowala founded Origins, it has provided $51,000 in fellowship funds to 19 fellowship recipients.  One of the 2012 Fellowship recipients will be working this summer to advance LGBT rights at Lambda Legal, and the other will be promoting social justice for underprivileged youth at the National Center for Youth Law.

Ms. Bajowala represents Fortune 500 clients as a member of the Firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department and its ERISA Litigation and Class Action Practice Groups.
