Jenner & Block Partners William L. Scogland, Matthew J. Renaud and Amanda S. Amert, will speak at an upcoming panel discussion co-sponsored by Jenner & Block and Huron Consulting Group titled, “Institutional Investors: Protecting Your Assets - The Best Defense May Be a Good Offense,” on February 3 in the Chicago office.

The panel presentation will feature numerous topics on fulfilling investment fiduciary duties including investigating possible claims against third-parties, investment losses that may be recoverable at law, how to protect a fund's rights in ongoing class-action litigation, and what alternatives exist to litigation or other ways of unwinding complex investments. Jeffrey S. Gray, Managing Director of Huron Consulting Group, will also serve as a panelist at the event.

The discussion is geared towards institutions such as corporate pension plans, charitable foundations and trusts, universities, state and local pension plans and union multiemployer pension and welfare plans, as well as chief investment officers and investment staff, investment committee members, board members, and general counsel and other legal representatives.
