Jenner & Block Partners Steven M. Siros and Gabrielle Sigel will speak at a "Carbon Credits" one-day CLE seminar in Chicago on January 29, 2009. The program is sponsored by The Seminar Group and will take place at the Mid-America Club.
The seminar will provide an overview of legislative and other developments in carbon management that are intended to reduce total carbon emissions and help to alleviate global warming. It will provide historical perspective, an overview of the current carbon management environment, and a perspective on the direction that global policy makers are likely to take in the next several years.
Mr. Siros is Co-Chair of the program. He will participate in a panel providing a "Regulatory Overview" of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) regulations and will chair a panel on "Industry Perspectives and Responses." Ms. Sigel will present a session on "Mandatory vs. Voluntary GHG Cap-and-Trade Programs."
Mr. Siros is a member of the Firm’s Climate and Clean Technology Law, Defense & Aerospace, Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law, Insurance Litigation and Counseling, and Products Liability and Mass Tort Defense Practices.
