Jenner & Block Partner Debbie L. Berman serves as a panelist at a discussion entitled, “The First Amendment: What are Reasonable Restrictions in Time of War?” sponsored by the Chicago Press Veterans Association, Chicago Headline Club, Illinois Library Association and Columbia College Chicago at noon on October 21 at Columbia’s Conway Center

Ms. Berman, a member of the Firm’s Media and First Amendment Practice, will discuss the topic with fellow panelists Judge William J. Bauer of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals;  Michael J. Howlett Jr., visiting professor of law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law; Judith Krug, director of the American Library Association's Office for Intellectual Freedom; Ed Yohnka, public relations director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois; attorney Joel Daly, anchor on WLS-TV news; Bernard M. Judge, editor and publisher of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin; and Thomas Roeser, an Op-Ed contributor to the Chicago Sun-Times.
