Jenner & Block Partners E. Lynn Grayson and Gabrielle Sigel will speak at a CREW Chicago event titled, “Critical Insights in Climate Change and Water Scarcity,” being held on November 4, 2010 at Jenner & Block’s Chicago office. During this stimulating program, Ms. Grayson and Ms. Sigel will discuss United States climate change policy, regulation, and pending legislation , and existing and future water scarcity concerns. The presentation will be particularly timely, coming immediately after the mid-term elections.
Ms. Grayson is a partner in the Firm’s Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law and Climate and Clean Technology Law Practices. She has an extensive environmental law background including both private practice and government service experience. Ms. Grayson’s national environmental practice and experience includes managing complex CERCLA and RCRA matters, advising clients on critical regulatory concerns, performing environmental due diligence for real estate and corporate transactions, defending against natural resource damage claims and conducting environmental audits at manufacturing operations. She is Co-Editor of the Firm’s Corporate Environmental Lawyer Blog, which covers breaking environmental, health and safety issues of interest to the corporate counsel community.
Ms. Sigel is Co-Chair of Jenner & Block’s Climate and Clean Technology Law Practice, a founding member of the Firm’s Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law Practice, and a member of the Environmental Litigation Practice. Ms. Sigel regularly represents clients in complex environmental statutory, common law, Superfund enforcement, and cost recovery actions. Her work at the forefront of climate and clean technology law includes advising a multinational corporation on how to address climate change issues, including working to develop definitions, inventory, and programs for greenhouse gas emission reduction.
