Jenner & Block Partner Reginald J. Hill spoke at a Chicago-Kent College of Law panel discussion on December 2, aimed at helping law students maximize their job-search efforts.  The discussion, titled “Tips for Success: How to Stand Out in a Competitive Marketplace," included advice on jobs in a variety of areas – judicial, boutique firm, solo practitioner, public interest law, etc. -- and also on how to market oneself in a competitive and tough economy.  Mr. Hill shared his perspective about working in a large firm and “big firm” hiring criteria, as well as on practicing intellectual property law.

Mr. Hill is a partner in Jenner & Block’s Litigation Department and a member of the Patent Litigation and Counseling and Trademark, Advertising and Unfair Competition Practices, as well as a member of the Firm’s Management Committee.   Before practicing law, Mr. Hill spent 10 years as an electrical engineer in research and development with AT&T Bell Laboratories and Motorola.
