American Conference Institute - 2nd Annual Forum on Defending and Managing ERISA Litigation

Jenner & Block Partner Craig C. Martin will speak on “ERISA Fiduciary Litigation: The Newest Developments in Plaintiffs’ Theories of Liability and Substantive Defenses,” at the American Conference Institute’s 2nd Annual Forum on Defending and Managing ERISA Litigation in New York, NY on October 20 - 21, 2010.  Mr. Martin will be a member of a panel that will address topics such as who is a fiduciary and what qualifies as fiduciary activity; fiduciary governance; and fiduciary liability and damage theories, including a discussion of Vaughan v. Celanese Americas Corporation Separation Pay Plan.

Mr. Martin is a Partner in the Firm’s Chicago office and is Co-Chair of the Litigation Department.  He is a member of the ERISA Litigation and Complex Commercial Litigation Practices and is also a member of the Firm’s Policy Committee.  He has a national trial and appellate practice and speaks and writes frequently on the topic of retirement law and on a variety of other topics including fiduciary duties under federal securities, antitrust, attorney-client privilege, and the management of complex litigation.
