Jenner & Block Associate Amy L. Tenney will speak at the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Death Penalty Training seminar, held April 8-9 at Paris Landing State Park in Buchanan, Tennessee.  Ms. Tenney will present a session entitled “Tracking Down the Witnesses & Documents You Need to Discover Your Client’s Life Story” with Lori James-Monroe, a nationally recognized death penalty mitigation specialist.  She will also serve as a panelist at a session entitled “Techniques for Expert Attorney Mojo: The Dos and Don’ts of Leading your Team.”

Ms. Tenney was part of the Jenner & Block team that represented Kevin Wiggins in the landmark Supreme Court death penalty case Wiggins v. Smith.  She then represented Mr. Wiggins during his re-sentencing proceedings, where the team achieved a sentence of life with the immediate possibility of parole.
