"The Legacy of Justice John Paul Stevens and the Changing Court," Chicago Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society and the Northwestern Law School Chapter, Chicago, IL

On June 22, Jenner & Block is hosting an event titled, “The Legacy of Justice John Paul Stevens and the Changing Court,” co-sponsored by the Chicago Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society and the Northwestern Law School Chapter. Partner Barry Levenstam will be moderator of a panel discussion, which will bring together the Honorable William J. Bauer, Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; Nancy S. Marder, Professor of Law, Chicago-Kent College of Law and Bill Barnhart, Author, John Paul Stevens: An Independent Life. The panel will address Justice Stevens' unique role on the Court, assess the impact of his departure and share personal reflections on their experiences as clerks, colleagues and scholars of the Justice. Partner Gail H. Morse has helped organize this event and she is also a member of the ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter's Board of Advisors.  

Mr. Levenstam is a member of the Firm's Litigation Department.  He is a member of the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice, the Class Action Practice, and the ERISA Litigation Practice. Mr. Levenstam received the Seventh Circuit Bar Association’s First Annual Justice John Paul Stevens Pro Bono Award, in recognition of his career-long commitment to pro bono service in the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
