“What You Need to Know About the New SEC Guidance on Climate Change Disclosure,” Chicago Bar Association Securities Law Committee Meeting, Chicago, IL

Jenner & Block Partners Jerry J. Burgdoerfer and Gabrielle Sigel will be the presenters at a Chicago Bar Association Securities Law Committee meeting on April 15, 2010 in Chicago, IL. Mr. Burgdoerfer and Ms. Sigel will speak on “What You Need to Know About the New SEC Guidance on Climate Change Disclosure.”

Mr. Burgdoerfer is a member of the Firm's Corporate Department, and Co-Chair of its Securities Practice.  Mr. Burgdoerfer is also Chair of the Firm's Auditor Letter Review Committee, and has served on the Firm’s Management Committee.  Mr. Burgdoerfer is a past Chair of the Securities Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and frequently publishes and lectures in the area of corporate and securities law.

Ms. Sigel is Co-Chair of the Jenner & Block’s Climate and Clean Technology Law Practice, a founding member of the Firm’s Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law Practice, and a member of the Environmental Litigation Practice.  Ms. Sigel regularly represents clients in complex environmental statutory, common law, Superfund enforcement, and cost recovery actions.  Her work at the forefront of climate and clean technology law includes advising a multinational corporation on how to address climate change issues, including working to develop definitions, inventory, and programs for greenhouse gas emission reduction.
