Partner Donald I. Resnick will be a featured speaker at a BISNOW program titled “Workouts and Restructuring” on Wednesday morning, April 14, 2010 at Jenner & Block’s Chicago office conference facility.  Mr. Resnick will participate in a panel discussion addressing issues relevant to the current uncertain real estate environment, including how to keep lenders happy, opportunities for developers and investors, key issues regarding a workout negotiation, and predictions concerning defaults in 2010 due to inability to refinance.  The event is co-sponsored by the Firm, with promotional co-sponsorship by the Chicago chapters of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors) and CoreNet Global, YREP (Young Real Estate Professionals), CREW Chicago, The Metropolitan Club, and CommercialForum.

Mr. Resnick is the Chair of Jenner & Block’s Real Estate Practice, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate Securities Practice and Co-Chair of its Tenant-in-Common Workout Task Force.  He is also Co-Chair of the Firm’s Business Services and Transaction Executive Committee and a member of the Firm’s Management Committee.  Since 1975, Mr. Resnick has focused his practice in the area of commercial real estate, both locally and nationally, and he has significant experience in real estate transactions, financing, development and construction, and corporate real estate services.  His practice also encompasses real estate-related loan and equity restructuring and workouts and the hospitality, gaming and entertainment industry.
