Jenner & Block Partner Howard S. Suskin is Chair of a Practising Law Institute program titled “Federal Civil Practice Update 2011: A Practical Guide to New Developments, Procedures & Strategies,” which will be held on October 5, 2011 in Chicago. Partner David M. Greenwald will speak on “Ethics Issues: Attorney-Client Privilege” during the program. The program is dedicated to the memory of Chairman Emeritus Jerold S. Solovy, who was Chair of PLI’s Federal Civil Practice Update program from 2006 to 2010 and, in the words of the Institute, a “long-time friend of PLI.” The annual program will present an “all star” faculty of law firm practitioners, in-house counsel and federal judges who will review the most significant recent developments in federal civil practice and analyze the impact of these developments on federal practice and strategies.
Mr. Suskin is a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department, Co-Chair of its Class Action Practice and a member of the Securities Litigation and International Arbitration Practices. He is also a member of the Firm’s Subprime Litigation Task Force and its Tenant-in-Common Workout Task Force. Mr. Suskin has substantial first-chair experience representing individuals and business entities in civil and criminal securities matters, including class actions alleging securities fraud and misrepresentation claims.
David M. Greenwald is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Reinsurance Practice and member of the Insurance Litigation and Counseling, Domestic and International Arbitration, and Bankruptcy Practices. He is the Editor of the Firm's Attorney-Client Privilege Update online resource center, which provides regular reports on this legal issue, as well as the Firm’s “Protecting Confidential Legal Information" handbook. He is an accomplished trial lawyer concentrating on business litigation with particular emphasis on reinsurance arbitrations and litigation, derivatives litigation, domestic and international arbitrations, bankruptcy litigation, internal investigations and government contracts litigation.
