"The Strategic Role of Examiners,” Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors' 27th Annual Bankruptcy & Restructuring Conference, Boston, MA

Jenner & Block Partner Marc B. Hankin spoke at the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors’ 27th Annual Bankruptcy & Restructuring Conference being held on June 8 - June 11, 2011 at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Hankin spoke in a panel discussion titled, ”The Strategic Role of Examiners,” which explored the role of examiners in major Chapter 11 cases, including the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.

Mr. Hankin is a partner in the Firm's Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization Practice and a member of the Firm's Bankruptcy Litigation Practice.  Mr. Hankin recently served as one of the team leaders in the representation of Anton Valukas as the court-appointed Examiner in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy case. Mr. Hankin concentrates on representing debtors and creditors in complex Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court financial restructurings and international insolvency cases.  He also represents investors and counterparties in litigation involving collateralized debt obligations (CDOs), interest rate swaps and credit default swaps.
