Jenner & Block Partners Samuel L. Feder and Joseph P. Gromacki will speak at the Milken Institute Global Conference, “Shaping the Future,” taking place on May 1 to May 4 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Mr. Feder will participate in a panel discussion titled “The Next Internet Revolution,” where the impact of broadband on the telecom, cable, consumer electronics and entertainment industries, as well as whether there is a need for Government regulation, will be discussed.
Mr. Gromacki will moderate a panel discussion titled “The Business of Financing Business.” That panel will address questions such as: are mid-market firms finding it easier to raise capital; have firms adopted a new approach to managing capital structure and debt loads; what lasting imprint will the financial crisis leave on the world of corporate finance; and, how has the investment banking industry changed as a result of the recession?

Its Global Conference brings together thought leaders in a wide range of disciplines to explore solutions to today’s most pressing social, political and economic challenges.
Mr. Feder is Chair of Jenner & Block’s Communications Practice and a member of the Media and First Amendment Practice. He was formerly General Counsel of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as well as a senior legal and policy advisor to two FCC Commissioners. He represents telecom, media and technology companies in a wide variety of matters, including litigation, proceedings before regulatory agencies and transactions.
Mr. Gromacki is Chair of Jenner & Block’s Corporate Practice and Co-Chair of the Firm’s Securities Practice. He has extensive experience structuring, negotiating and managing public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, public securities offerings and other highly complex transactions and regularly counsels clients regarding corporate governance and disclosure matters and Delaware law issues and other corporate and securities law matters. Mr. Gromacki was recently recognized by The American Lawyer as one of 2011’s Dealmakers of the Year for his representation of General Motors in connection with its record breaking $23.1 billion IPO in 2010.
