Partner Joseph P. Gromacki will chair the panel “Disclosure and Accounting Developments” at the 31st Annual Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute on April 28. Mr. Gromacki and his panel will discuss proxy disclosure matters, current trends in SEC comments and the new disclosures required by Dodd-Frank. They will also discuss loss contingencies, short-term debt disclosure and other accounting matters including the International Financial Reporting Standards.
Mr. Gromacki serves on the Executive Committee and Partner Jerry J. Burgdoerfer serves on the Planning Committee of the Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Law Institute. The Ray Garrett Jr. Corporate and Securities Institute is designed to provide private practitioners and corporate counsel with a timely analysis of current securities and corporate law developments confronting publicly and privately held corporations.
Mr. Gromacki is Chair of Jenner & Block’s Corporate Department and Co-Chair of the Firm’s Securities Practice. Mr. Gromacki has extensive experience structuring, negotiating and managing public and private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, public securities offerings and other highly complex transactions. His broad base of experience includes equity and debt offerings, spin-offs, split-offs, tender offers and complex corporate recapitalizations.
Mr. Burgdoerfer is a partner in Jenner & Block’s Chicago office, a member of its Corporate Department, and Co-Chair of its Securities Practice. Mr. Burgdoerfer also is Chair of the Firm's Auditor Letter Review Committee. His experience includes complex mergers, acquisitions, private equity transactions, registered spin-offs, dispositions, securities offerings and restructurings, some in excess of $25 billion, and general corporate and business counseling.
