Jenner & Block Of Counsel Stephen H. Armstrong will moderate a panel titled “Water Management in the Great Lakes Region,” during the Great Lakes Sustainability Summit sponsored by the National Brownfield Association on October 25 and October 26, 2011.  The Summit will be held at Jenner & Block’s Chicago office Conference Center.

Mr. Armstrong’s panel discussion will take place on October 26 from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m., and will focus on key water management issues affecting Great Lakes communities, what the public and private sectors are doing to address water supply and water scarcity concerns in the region, and what urban planners and developers need to keep in mind as they plan for sustainable growth.  Panelists will share their insights on what business opportunities are being created in the private sector, as well as discussing government water management programs and best water management practices.

Mr. Armstrong is a member of Jenner & Block’s Litigation Department and the Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law and Climate and Clean Technology Law Practices.  He represents clients in all areas of environmental law including environmental litigation, site remediation, regulatory and enforcement matters, corporate and real estate transactions, and compliance counseling.  Mr. Armstrong focuses his practice on litigation, regulatory and transactional issues associated with contaminated properties.  He is a frequent speaker on environmental topics, including liability issues associated with property transactions and environmental financial reporting and disclosure obligations.  Mr. Armstrong is President of the Illinois Chapter of the National Brownfield Association and serves on the NBA’s Board of Directors.
