Jenner & Block Partner Andrew Weissmann will speak at PricewaterhouseCoopers and the University of Delaware’s 2006 Directors’ College, to be held November 15-17 at the university’s campus in Newark, Delaware. Mr. Weissmann will serve as a panelist at a November 17 session entitled “Corporate Fitness for Crisis,” which will discuss best practices for handling corporate crises.
The Directors’ College, which is exclusively for directors from the boards of large public companies, will address executive compensation, shareholder access to the proxy, leading practices in audit, compensation and nominating/governance committees, and legal developments in liability, among other things.
Mr. Weissmann is the former Enron Task Force Director and former Chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. His practice concentrates on internal corporate compliance and investigations, including representation before the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and state and local authorities.
