“Will Our Economy Be Driving More Companies into Bankruptcy? / Is Chapter 11 Still a Tool For Distressed Businesses Under BAPCPA?” Federal Bar Association - Chicago Chapter, Chicago, IL

Jenner & Block Partner Ronald R. Peterson spoke at the Federal Bar Association – Chicago Chapter’s monthly program entitled, “Will Our Economy Be Driving More Companies into Bankruptcy? / Is Chapter 11 Still a Tool For Distressed Businesses Under BAPCPA?” held September 13 at the law firm of Gardner, Carton & Douglas in Chicago, Illinois.  Mr. Peterson offered insight on the future use of Chapter 11 as a means to implement business turnarounds. 

Mr. Peterson represented the creditors’ committees in the bankruptcies of Anicom Inc. and Keystone Consolidated Industries, Inc. along with the creditors’ committees in the Chapter 11 cases of Handy Andy Home Centers, a chain of 88 hardware stores, and Payless Cashways Inc., a chain of 100 hardware stores.  He was the attorney for the debtor in the bankruptcy cases of Harrah’s Jazz Company, The Rath Packing Company and Armstrong’s, Inc.
