Jenner & Block Partner Andrew Weissmann will be the featured dinner speaker at The Conference Board’s Council on Corporate Compliance, to be held September 7-8 in New York City.  The event will address compliance issues such as the qualities of a good investigator, new training and communication methods, and how companies define compliance, among other things.

Mr. Weissmann is the former Enron Task Force Director for the U.S. Department of Justice, and the former Chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.  His practice concentrates on internal corporate compliance and investigations, including representation before the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and state and local authorities.

Founding members of the Council on Corporate Compliance include Altria Group; Amerada Hess; BP; Corn Products; Deere & Co.; Dow Chemical; DuPont; Fannie Mae; FedEx; Intel; Lockheed Martin Corporation; Sears, Roebuck and Co; Shell Oil; Sprint Corporation, Tenet Healthcare; TIAA –CREF; and United Technologies.  The Council on Corporate Compliance meets three times each year.
