Jenner & Block Partner Carter H. Klein will speak at a Chicago Bar Association Customs and U.S. International Trade Law Committee meeting to be held on March 16 at the CBA headquarters in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Klein will discuss letters of credit in international trade.
Mr. Klein participated in the drafting process of Article 5 of the Uniform Commercial Code – Letters of Credit and the International Standby Practices 1998. He is Chair of the Letter of Credit Subcommittee of the Uniform Commercial Code Committee of the American Bar Association and a member of the editorial advisory board of Documentary Credit World published by the Institute for International Banking Law and Practice.
The Customs and U.S. International Trade Law Committee considers U.S. laws pertaining the importation and exportation of merchandise into or from the United States.
