Jenner & Block Partner Andrew Weissmann will speak at the Federal Bar Association’s Seventeenth Annual Federal Sentencing Guidelines Seminar, to be held May 21-23 at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa in Orlando, Florida.  The program is sponsored by the United States Sentencing Commision and will cover topics such as Supreme Court updates, plea bargaining strategies, the Adam Walsh Act, victim’s rights, fraud & theft guidelines, grouping of multiple counts, Chapter 3 adjustments and restitution issues, among others.

Mr. Weissmann will speak on a panel titled “Organizational Guidelines.” Mr. Weissmann will be joined on the panel by Honorable Beryl A. Howell, Commissioner, United States Sentencing Commission; Honorable John C. Richter, United States Attorney, Western District of Oklahoma.; and Cathy Battistelli, Deputy Chief United States Probation Officer District of New Hampshire.

Mr. Weissmann, the former Enron Task Force Director and former Chief of the Criminal Division in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, was recently was selected by a panel of top ethics experts as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics by Ethisphere magazine.  An internationally-recognized white collar litigator, Mr. Weissmann’s practice concentrates on internal corporate compliance and investigations, including representation before the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and state and local authorities.
