Jenner & Block Partners Matthew L. Jacobs and Lorelie S. Masters and Associate Jason R. Donovan will speak at a one-day New York City seminar co-sponsored by Jenner & Block and Aon Risk Services to be held November 7 at Aon's offices in New York.
Mr. Jacobs and Ms. Masters will address "The Subprime Lending Crisis: Mortgage Backed Securities and the Credit Crunch," and Mr. Jacobs, Ms. Masters, and Mr. Donovan will speak about "Global Warming, Climate Change and D&O Issues." The event will also feature a lunch with a panel discussion among all speakers.
Mr. Jacobs is a member of the Firm’s Insurance Litigation and Counseling and Reinsurance Practices. He is responsible for complex, multi-party insurance coverage litigation matters in state and federal courts, and he regularly advises corporations on the availability of insurance coverage for a wide variety of claims, including those related to directors and officers liability, errors and omissions, mortgage lending practices, mold and water damage, business interruption losses, product liability, mutual fund late-trading and market timing lawsuits and regulatory investigations and environmental matters.
Ms. Masters is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department and Climate and Clean Technology Law, Insurance Litigation and Counseling and Arbitration: Domestic and International Practices. She is co-author of Insurance Coverage Litigation, an in-depth legal treatise first published in 1997 and updated annually; and Liability Insurance in International Arbitration: The Bermuda Form. Ms. Masters is a past policyholder-side Chair of the Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee, ABA Section of Litigation, and current President of the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
Mr. Donovan is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department, the Insurance Litigation and Counseling Practice Group and the Climate and Clean Technology Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in the insurance coverage litigation area, focusing primarily on D&O, product liability, general liability and reinsurance matters.
