Jenner & Block Partners Matthew L. Jacobs and Lorelie S. Masters will speak at a LexisNexis Webinar titled, “Insurance Coverage for Subprime Lending Losses and Liabilities,” to be held April 3.
The course will examine subprime mortgage lawsuits and investigations that are moving forward, and the insurance coverage issues—terms, conditions, exclusions and other provisions that might apply to such claims—that are likely to arise from those matters as policyholders seek protection from such existing and potential liabilities.
Mr. Jacobs and Ms. Masters will specifically address the growth of subprime lending, the housing market, suits by subprime borrowers, allegations and claims for relief, state attorney general actions, recent investor, shareholder, buyback and ERISA beneficiary lawsuits, and credit rating agencies. They will also discuss applicable insurance coverage, such as D&O and E&O coverage, fiduciary liability coverage, credit risk coverage, potential defenses to coverage and other related issues.
Mr. Jacobs is a member of the Firm’s Insurance Litigation and Counseling and Reinsurance Practices.
