On June 14, Associate Leonard R. Powell will lead a session on the US Supreme Court during the Pre-Law Summer Institute (PLSI) for American Indians and Alaska Natives. PLSI is a two-month program that prepares American Indian and Alaska Native individuals for success in law school. Mr. Powell attended PLSI before attending Harvard Law School.

Mr. Powell is a senior associate in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice. He also brings significant experience to the firm’s Native American Practice. Mr. Powell represents clients in high stakes litigation in federal courts, including the US Supreme Court. He has represented clients at all stages of Supreme Court litigation. Before law school, Mr. Powell served on the Tribal Council of his federally recognized tribe, the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians.
