Partners Rachel Alpert and Shreve Ariail will participate in the Law, Innovation, Security & Technology Society at UVA Law and the National Security Policy Center (NSPC) at the Frank Batten School of Public Policy’s event "The Tab on FABs: Semiconductor Supply Chain Security." Ms. Alpert, who will serve as a panelist, is co-chair of the firm’s National Security, Sanctions, and Export Controls Practice and a partner in its Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice. She brings a wealth of experience in economic sanctions, export controls, human rights, and other international legal issues from her seven years in the US Department of State’s Office of the Legal Adviser.

Mr. Ariail, who is hosting as a Faculty Associate with the NSPC, is a partner in the firm’s Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice, the Government Controversies and Public Policy Litigation Practice, the National Security, Sanctions, and Export Controls Practice, and the Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice. A former Deputy General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency and Section Chief for the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, Mr. Ariail has a significant background in complex US and international investigations, criminal and civil litigation, national and cyber security.
