Jenner & Block Partner Jessica Ring Amunson will speak as part of the Harvard Law School six-part series on “Democracy” in an event focused on the future of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. She and other panelists will share insights on the VRA’s application to recent state efforts to undermine voting rights; current congressional efforts to strengthen the VRA; and whether there are other options that voting rights activists can use to protect the right to vote.
Ms. Amunson is chair of the firm’s Election Law and Redistricting Practice. She represents clients, including elected officials, in matters involving redistricting, voting rights, and campaign finance in the US Supreme Court, before the Federal Elections Commission and in courts around the country.
The program is the second in a six-part series of panel discussions on “Democracy” hosted by Harvard Law School’s Election Law Clinic and will be held on October 25, 2021, from 12:45-1:45 pm Eastern. To learn more and register, click here.
