“Post-Modern Administrative Law and the Energy Lawyer,” Energy Bar Association 2020 Annual Meeting & Conference

On April 15, Jenner & Block Partner Zachary C. Schauf will speak at a panel focused on how the recent evolution of administrative law may affect the energy sector.   Mr. Schauf and other panelists will address recent US Supreme Court decisions and whether they presage a revolution in administrative law concerning Congress’s authority to delegate broad powers to agencies and judicial deference to agencies; significant circuit-level developments in administrative law; and important administrative-law decisions in the sector.

Mr. Schauf is a litigator who has particular experience in the energy sector.  Having joined Jenner & Block after clerking for Justice Kagan of the US Supreme Court and Judge Merrick B. Garland of the DC Circuit, Mr. Schauf’s practice focuses on complex issues of constitutional and administrative law.  He has led briefing in scores of cases in the US  Supreme Court, federal appellate courts, and state and federal trial courts across the country.
