17th Annual ICC Miami Conference on International Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce

On November 10, the International Chamber of Commerce will host its 17th Annual Conference on International Arbitration.  Jenner & Block Partner Mélida Hodgson, who is an ICC Institute of World Business Law council member, will co-chair the Institute's pre-conference training on the use of interim measures in arbitration.

On day two of the conference, November 11, Partner Patrick W. Pearsall will join a panel discussion on amicus curiae:  its use, lessons and regulations.  He will share insights on new trends in amicus curiae interventions in commercial arbitration, the advantages and pitfalls of the convenience of an amicus curiae, and how the issue of amicus curiae is regulated in the ICC Rules of Arbitration, among other topics.

Ms. Hodgson is a member of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice.  She is an arbitrator of international disputes initiated under Chapter 19 of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and in commercial arbitrations under the American Arbitration Association/International Center for Dispute Resolution rules.
