Jenner & Block Partner Andrew W. Vail participated in a panel discussion at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology 2019 symposium. The symposium was titled “Revisiting Voluntariness: Seeking Clarity in the Era of False Confessions.” Mr. Vail’s panel focused on legislative and policy solutions. Steven Drizin, of Northwestern’s Center on Wrongful Convictions, moderated the panel. The symposium was held on February 28, 2019, at Northwestern.
Mr. Vail is a first-chair litigator who has significant experience in both federal and state courts, representing individuals, privately held, public and Fortune 500 companies as both plaintiff and defense counsel. He speaks and/or testifies nationally on issues relating to reforms in the justice system and legal ethics.
