Jenner & Block Partner Ian Heath Gershengorn joined a panel discussion at the 36th Annual National CLE Conference, co-sponsored by the Colorado Bar Association, the International Trademark Association, and the ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law. The topic of his panel was “A Dialogue Between Bench and Bar.” Other panelists included Judge Kimberly Ann Moore of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; Judge Kara Stoll of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; Chief Judge Leonard P. Stark of the United States District Court, District of Delaware; John M. Whealan, Associate Dean for Intellectual Property Law Studies at The George Washington University; and Deanne E. Maynard of Morrison Foerster. Mr. Gershengorn’s session was held on January 5, 2019.
Mr. Gershengorn is chair of the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court Practice and is one of the nation’s premier Supreme Court and appellate advocates. Before joining the firm in 2017, he served at the US Department of Justice first as Principal Deputy Solicitor General and then as Acting Solicitor General of the United States. Mr. Gershengorn’s practice focuses on advising clients on a range of complex litigation and strategy problems, with particular emphasis on commercial disputes and challenges involving government, regulatory and other public policy issues.
