On December 11, Jenner & Block Partner Richard Levin discussed recent decisions of interest to the lending community on a CLE webcast sponsored by the Loan Syndications and Trading Association. The webcast focused on decisions on horizontal gifting (Nuverra), enforceability of subordination clauses (Tribune), third-party releases (Arctic Glacier, Millennium Holdings, Kirwan), municipal revenue pledges (Puerto Rico), enforceability of anti-assignment clauses against claims trading (Woodbridge andCaesars) and adequate protection in sales free and clear (Hanmi Bank).
Mr. Levin is co-chair of Jenner & Block’s Restructuring and Bankruptcy Department. An author of the 1978 US Bankruptcy Code, he is recognized internationally as one of the foremost restructuring, bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights lawyers handling complex bankruptcy transaction, litigation and special situation matters.
